The Rad Place Little Potters

Welcome in

Make something rad. Leave with more than you expected.

Hi, I’m Brad. This is where The Rad Place is coming from, and I hope you’ll come down and make something with us.

Read my story

Where this comes from

It started with my parents.

I’m the son of the founders of Maine Pottery Co., Chris and Richard Hilton, two super creative and passionate people. Maine Pottery Co. has been going since 1976.

As Maine Pottery Co. keeps moving forward, I’m moving forward too. The first thing on my list is simple: embrace the community more.

Come on down

We’re starting with the kids

It’s the first of many events, workshops and general fun to be had. The first project is vases, scanned from actual vases from the pottery.

  1. Scan a real piece

We start with an actual piece from the pottery.

  2. Print it here

We print it in house, ready to color.

  3. Kids color it in

They make it theirs. Markers and sealant are on us.

First up

Little Potters

Walk-in coloring for kids. We print the pottery and the kids color it in. The project changes through the year, and each event says what it is. Bigger pieces are for sale. There are 10 to 12 stations and no saved spots, so when they’re full, that session is full. An adult stays with the kids, and you’re welcome to hang out.

Dates coming soon.

See Little Potters

We’ll be back the first Saturday of the month, and a new project follows through the year. Coming next: workshops during the week and adult classes, including a larger vase painting class. No dates or prices yet.
